An action packed weekend in South Wales. We travel up on Friday evening and stay at the Star bunkhouse in Bwlch. On Saturday we paddle the River Usk from Talybont finishing at Llangynidr which includes some rapids and drops with the highlight shooting the Mill Falls. The next day, we paddle a short but exciting section of the Upper Wye finishing at Town Falls in Rhayader. Both of the rivers are Grade 2/3 but have different features – the Talybont section of the Usk is a wide river complete with larger rapids whilst the Upper Wye is narrow and tracks down the mountainside with plenty of features along the way. You can attend this trip for recreational fun or as part of the White Water Award Training or assessment. If there is insufficient water levels on the Sunday, we will visit Cardiff International White Water Centre instead (pay your own membership and entry fee) or a different section of the Usk.
