Phoenix Outdoor Centre is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and operates on a coaching ratio of 1:12 for First Aid courses. We run the majority of these courses at Phoenix Outdoor Centre, but from time to time we use a training room at Welsh Harp Sailing Club located further up the reservoir. We will be in contact with all course bookees before the course date with pre-course information and to confirm the course location.
We are running a 16 hour Outdoor First Aid course which is suitable for anyone who works in the outdoor environment and NGB approved training for Moderate Water and Advanced Water river leaders & Coaches (4* & 5*), BCU Level 3 Coaches and Mountain Leaders. The course is run by a qualified First Aid trainer who works in the outdoors and operates under a full quality assurance process. We can adapt the course to include non-watersport activities, ie. mountain walking, rock climbing, mountain biking etc.
The course covers a similar syllabus to the above 8 hour course, but includes practical outdoor training, testing your skills in the environment you work in.
